Supplications (dua) from Quran & Hadith

Supplications, also known as dua, is a mean to get the blessings and help from ALLAH in the similar way our Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ) has guided. Memorize these your self and get your kids to memorize as well.

There are different duas for your daily activities like sleeping, eating, being happy, sad, wearing clothes, going masjid / market, ablution, meeting sick, raining, storm etc. Here we mention 36 common duas. These duas are memorized as part of our Quran Reading With Tajweed Course.

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوْتُ وَأَحْيٰ

O Allah, by Your name I live and die.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ الَّذِيْ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ الـنُّشُوْرُ

All praise be to Allah, who gave us life after death (sleep is a form of death) and to Him will we be raised and returned.

رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Hell Fire!

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْـمَوْلَجِ وَخَيْرَ الْـمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

O Allah, I seek a good entry and a good exit. We take Allah’s name to enter and Allah’s name to exit and rely on Him who is our Lord.

بِسْمِ اللهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast

اَللّٰهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِيْ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

O Allah, open the doors of mercy.

السَّلامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your favour.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

None has the right to be worshiped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His hand is all good and He Omnipotent over all things.

ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ ، وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ

The thirst has gone and the veins are moist, and reward is assured, if Allah wills.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ الَّذِيْ أَطْعَمَنِيْ هٰذَا وَرَزَقَنِيْهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِّنِّيْ وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

All praise belongs to Allah who granted this (meal which I received) without my power or effort.

اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ

Allah is the Greatest

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمـٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

I begin in the name of Allah, who is the Most Merciful, Most Gracious.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَّآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهٗ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ

I bear witness that none is worthy of worship besides Allah. He is One, He has no partner. And I bear witness that Mohammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam is his slave and messenger.

جَزَاكَ اللهُ خَيْرًا

May Allah reward you with good.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِيْ قَلْبِيْ نُورًا وَفِيْ بَصَرِيْ نُورًا وَفِيْ سَمْعِيْ نُورًا وَعَنْ يَّمِيْـنِيْ نُورًا وَعَنْ شِمَالِيْ نُورًا وَاجْعَلْ لِّيْ نُورًا

O Allah, give me Nur in my heart, me eyes, ears, on my right side, on my left side. Specify Nur for me and my progeny. Grant Nur in my flesh, my blood, my hair, my skin, my tongue and my nafs (soul) and grant Nur all around me.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ

How far from imperfections Allah is.

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ ، اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي ، وَاخْلُفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا

To Allah we belong and unto Him is our return. O Allah, recompense me for my affliction and replace it for me with something better.

يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ
May Allah have mercy on you.

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the outcast.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ ، وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ

O Allah, we place You before them and we seek refuge with You from their evil.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا

O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness and I seek refuge with You from it’s evil.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

O Allah, I ask You from Your favor.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ ، وَالْمَلائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

How far from imperfections He is, (The One) Whom the thunder declares His perfection with His praise, as do the angels out of fear of Him.

اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا

O Allah, may it be a beneficial rain.

مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَرَحْمَتِهِ

We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah.

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَعَلَى سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ

In the name of Allah and upon the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِكُمْ لَلَاحِقُونَ ، نَسْأَلُ اللهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ

Peace be upon you all, O inhabitants of the dwellings (i.e. the graves), amongst the believers and the Muslims. Indeed we are, Allah willing, soon to follow (to die also), we ask Allah for well-being for us and for you.

أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the outcast.

لَا بَأْسَ طَهُوْرٌ إِنْ شَآءَ اللهُ

There is no problem, If Allah wills, He will purge your sins by this illness.

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَآئِثِ

O Allah. I seek Your Protection from the harmful male and female shaytaan (and Jinn).

غُفْرَانَكَ
 اَلْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ الَّذِيْ أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الْأَذٰى وَعَافَانِيْ

O Allah! I seek forgiveness and pardon from You. All Praise be to Allah, who removed the difficulty from me and gave me ease (relief).

بِسْمِ اللهِ

In the name of Allah

بِسْمِ اللهِ

In the name of Allah

الحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لَا أَعْلَمُ

O Allah, I seek refuge with You lest I should commit shirk with You knowingly and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do unknowingly.
