With each passing day, more and more people are being exposed to calamities like diseases, disasters, tragedies, evil doings, mishaps and accidents. Some of these diseases are those who are curable and some whose medications are yet to be found like AIDS, Caronavirus (COVID-19) etc.
New diseases have always been coming and going. Allah has not created a disease which is not curable hence sooner or later humanity will find the solution with Allah’s help. While humanity is finding precautions to avoid contiguous diseases to spread one aspect we forget is that Allah ailments are coming with the will of Allah.
One cannot get harmed if Allah doesn’t want and if HE wants you to be hurt then no power on earth can avoid it. As Muslims, our faith is on ALLAH and hence asking for help from ALLAH is equally more important than adopting precautionary measures.
Here we have compiled a list of supplications (duas) asking for Allah’s help, where you feel helpless and want ALLAH’s mercy to come.
As most of kids are enjoying holidays through out the world why not spend at least 15 mins on a daily basis to get them to memorize. In this way us the adults will also memorize while we are helping our kids to remember.
Insha-Allah by asking for forgiveness, mercy we can ensure our family, relatives to stay safe from all the different dangers lurking be it disease, accidents, calamities, damages, disasters etc.
Before Starting Dua
O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning.
لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ (حصن حصين)
O Allah, bestow Your favour on Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and on the family of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) as You have bestowed Your favour on Ibrahim and on the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and the family of Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) as You have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰى اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلٰى اٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰى اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلٰى اٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ (حصن حصين)
I recite the Glory and Praise of Allah equal in number to His Creation, according to His Will and Pleasure, equal in weight to that of His Throne and equal in dimensions to His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِۦ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِۦ وَرِضٰى نَفْسِهِۦ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِۦ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِۦ (حصن حصين)
Duas to protect from Caronavirus (COVID-19)
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Surah Fateha سورة الفاتحة (3 times)
All praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Owner of the Day of Recompense
You alone we worship and from You alone we seek help (and may we always)
Guide us on the Straight Path
The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
Surah Ikhlas سورة الإخلاص (3 times)
Say: “He is Allah, the One and Unique;
Allah, Who is in need of none and of Whom all are in need;
He neither begot any nor was He begotten,
and none is comparable to Him.”
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّـهُ أَحَدٌ
اللَّـهُ الصَّمَدُ
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Surah Al ‘Imran (3:173) (313 times)
Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).”
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
(Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel)
Duas for Any Clamity
Definitely we are from Allah and to Him is our return. O Allah, grant reward in my calamity and grant in its place a good substitute.
Verily, pain and illness has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those show mercy.
إِنَّا لِـلّٰـهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُوْنَ اَللّٰهُمَّ أَجِرْنِيْ فِيْ مُصِيْبَتِيْ وَاخْلُفْ لِيْ خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا (مسلم)
اَنِّىْ مَسَّنِىَ الضُّرُّ وَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرّٰحِمِيْنَ (الأنبياء : 83)
Dua to avoid disaster
O Allah! We seek refuge in Thee from the hardships of every difficulty, from evil’s surrounding us, from a bad fate (taqdeer) and from the enemies becoming happy over us.
َللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلَآءِ وَ دَرْكِ الشِّقَآءِ وَ سُوْءِ الْقَضَآءِ وَ شَمَاتَةِ الْاَعْدَآءِ (مشكٰوة)
O Allah! I seek refuge in Thee from the termination of Your Bounties, from the changing of Your given health and safety, from Your sudden punishment and from everything which angers (displeases) Thee.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ وَ فُجَآءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ وَ جَمِيْعِ سَخَطِكَ (مشكٰوة)
Protection from disasters
O Allah! You are my Lord. You are the only one worthy of servitude and you are the Lord of the Great Throne. Whatever Allah has willed exists and what He has not willed does not exist. There is no power to do good nor ability to avoid evil without the will of Allah, the lofty, the great. I know that Allah has power over all things and that His knowledge covers all things. O Allah! I seek your protection from the evil of my own baser self and from the evil of every animal whose forehead is in your grasp. Certainly my Lord is on the straight path!
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّيْ لَآ إِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنْتَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَاَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيْمِ مَا شَآءَ اللهُ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ يَشَاْ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَّلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ اَعْلَمُ اَنَّ اللهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ وَّاَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ اَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِيْ وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ اَنْتَ آخِذٌ ۢ بِنَا صِيَتِهَا اِنَّ رَبِّيْ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ (ابن سني ـ ابو داؤد)
When seeing someone afflicted by misfortune
Praise is to Allah Who has spared me what He has afflicted you with, and preferred me greatly above much of what He has created.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ الَّذِيْ عَافَانِيْ مِمَّا ابْتَلَاكَ بِهِۦ وَفَضَّلَنِيْ عَلٰى كَثِيْرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيْلًا (ترمذي)
Sorrow grief
There is none worthy of worship but Allah the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.
لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْعَظِيْمُ الْحَلِيْمُ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ رَبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيْمِ (بخاري)
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah who is most Forbearing, most Kind, Allah is pure. And Allah is most Blessed, Sustainer of the Mighty Throne. All praise is due to Allah who is the Lord of the worlds.
لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَ تَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ (نسائي)
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, do not leave me for even the duration of an eye blink (duration) and correct my total condition. Besides You there is none worthy of worship.
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُوْا فَلَا تَكِلْنِيْ إِلٰى نَفْسِيْ طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ وَّأَصْلِحْ لِيْ شَأْنِيْ كُلَّهُۥ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ (ابو داؤد)
Allah is sufficient for us and He is the Best Guardian.
حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ (بخاري)
Allah is my Lord, I do not ascribe anything unto Him.
اَللهُ رَبِّيْ لَآ أُشْرِكُ بِهِۦ شَيْئًا (نسائي)
O Alive and everlasting One, I beseech You by Your mercy.
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْثُ (حاكم)
O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely I have oppressed my soul by sinning.
لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّيْ كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ (نسائي)
There is no strength except in Allah.
لَاحَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ (حاكم)
At the time of difficulty
O Allah, there is no ease other than what You make easy. If You please You ease sorrow.
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلاَّ مَا جَعَلْتَهُۥ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزَنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا (ابن حبان)
When something happens to displease you
Praise is to Allah in all circumstances.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ عَلٰى كُلِّ حَالٍ (حاكم)
When something you dislike happens
It is the Decree of Allah and He does whatever He wills.
قَدَّرَ اللهُ وَمَا شَآءَ فَعَلَ (مسلم)
Dua by the sick person
There in none worthy of worship besides Allah, He is the greatest. There is none worthy of worship besides Allah, He is all by Himself. There is none worthy of worship besides Allah. He has no partner with Him. His is the Kingdom and all Praise. He is the one to grant us the ability to save ourselves from sinning and to do good.
لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُۥ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُۥ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُۥ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ (ترمذي)
When visiting the sick
There is no problem, If Allah wills, He will purge your sins by this illness.
I ask Allah who is the Lofty and the Lord of the Mighty Throne that He cures you.
لَا بَأْسَ طَهُوْرٌ إِنْ شَآءَ اللهُ (بخاري)
أَسْأَلُ اللهَ الْعَظِيْمَ رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ أَنْ يَّشْفِيَكَ (ابو داؤد)
O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the one who cures and there is no one besides You who can cure, grant such a cure that no illness remains.
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ إِشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِيْ لَا شِفَآءَ إِلَّا شِفَآؤُكَ شِفَآءٌ لَّا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا (بخاري ـ مسلم)
O Allah ! Bestow on me martyrdoom in Your path and give me death in the city of The Messenger (peace be upon him).
اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِيْ شَهَادَةً فِيْ سَبِيْلِكَ وَاجْعَلْ مَوْتِيْ بِبَلَدِ رَسُوْلِكَ (حصن حصين)
When suffering from fever
I seek relief taking Allah’s great blessed name from all the evils of pulling (pulsating) nerves and from the evils of the hot fire.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الْكَبِيْرِ أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ الْعَظِيْمِ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ عِرْقٍ نَّعَّارٍ وَّمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّارِ (مشكٰوة)
I seek refuge in the Being and Power of Allah from the effects of which I am in and from that which I fear.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ – بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ – بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ – أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ – أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ – أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ – أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ – أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ – أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِۦ مِنْ شَرِّ مَآ أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ (مشكٰوة)
For kidney stone or urination problems
Our Lord is Allah who is in the skies (worthy of worship). Your name is Pure. Your authority is prevalent in the sky and earth, just as Your Mercy is in the sky thus lower it on earth as well and forgive our sins and errors. You are the Lord of the pure ones thus descend upon this pain a Mercy from amongst Your Mercies and a cure (relief) from Your reliefs/cures.
رَبُّنَا اللهُ الَّذِيْ فِيْ السَّمَآءِ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ أَمْرُكَ فِيْ السَّمَآءِ وَالْأَرْضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ فِيْ السَّمَآءِ فَاجْعَلْ رَحْمَتَكَ فِيْ الْأَرْضِ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا حُوْبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا أَنْتَ رَبُّ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ فَأَنْزِلْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ رَّحْمَتِكَ وَشِفَآءً مِّنْ شِفَآئِكَ عَلٰى هٰذَا الْوَجَعِ (مشكٰوة)
After sneezing
Praise is to Allah in all circumstances.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِـلّٰـهِ عَلٰى كُلِّ حَالٍ (حصن حصين)
For soar eye
O Allah grant me benefit from my eyesight and keep it (maintain it) till my death and give me power over my enemies and give me aid against those who oppress me.
اَللّٰهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِيْ بِبَصَرِيْ وَاجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنِّيْ وَأَرِنِيْ فِي الْعَدُوِّ ثَأْرِيْ وَانْصُرْنِيْ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِيْ (حصن حصين)
In the name of Allah. O Allah! Remove the hotness, coldness and pain of the evil eye.
بِسْمِ اللهِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اذْهَبْ حَرَّهَا وَبَرْدَهَا وَوَصَبَهَا (نسائي)
Dua for Tobah
O Allah! I repent to You from this sin and I promise that I will never ever commit this sin again.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ مِنْهَا لَآ اَرْجِعُ اِلَيْهَآ اَبَدًا (حاكم)
Insha-Allah just spending some time in memorizing these duas will go a long way in healing ailments and crises in this world and also in the here after. Also it is equally important that once we are out of danger we don’t forget Allah and remember him also in the good times as well. May Allah (subhanuhu Wata-aa-la) help us in this hour of need – Ameen.
